‘We had a fantastic time…if you are thinking of going on a yoga retreat, he is one of the best teachers in London!’ Leo Lourdes

‘We both wished to thank you for such an amazing week of yoga. Your generosity of time, knowledge and spirituality made it a very special week with a huge learning curve through a very deep practice. So many aspects of yoga were covered and we both really appreciated that. It was also a really fun week – having the children there was lovely too and they added a special fun aspect to the holiday in a way that only children can. The group, the venue and friendships made or deepened also made the week very special.’ Maria and Andrew Baranowski

“I’ve tried many yoga teachers over the years and Jeff is undoubtedly one of my absolute favourites. He has an acute attention to detail when it comes to the postures and he is great at educating the class on the philosophy behind yoga.

I went on a yoga retreat of his in Goa and the experience really blew me away. By the end of the week I had noticed a huge development in my yoga…from really perfected asanas through to very profound levels of meditation. Jeff is able to create a great atmosphere in his classes, as he encourages and challenges people at the right pace, whilst keeping it light-hearted and focused.

I’ve recently been suffering from sciatica and Jeff has been the one teacher that showed me ways in which I could do the poses without experiencing anywhere near as much pain. He managed to give me focused attention whilst still maintaining a real flow to the class. I highly recommend him.’ Nina Constantin

Keen to try approaching Headstand in a compassionate way that is patient and respectful of your ability? Want to fine tune and deepen your stability in Headstand?

In this workshop you will learn how to approach a headstand (Sirsasana) in a safe and effective way, using proper body alignment with emphasis on how to work with balance, core strength, and structural alignment. We will start slowly, building up through appropriate warm-ups and strengthening exercises, taking into consideration levels of experience and giving you the necessary building blocks to move towards your appropriate experience of headstand.

Called the ‘King of the Asana‘, Headstand is one of the most profound postures for physical, mental and spiritual benefits and requires a little strength but mostly conquering of fear and belief that you can do it. Inversions bring us directly into the unknown. Here we can meet our fears from a different perspective and, by conquering them, gain a deep sense of satisfaction and self confidence. So maybe you might not conquer the pose in this one session but we will learn how best to approach it, where your edge is and have fun trying!

This workshop is for non-beginners with minimum 6 months practice. If you suffer from high blood pressure, have a neck/spine injury or have eye problems e.g. surgery or glaucoma we advise not to do this workshop.

Jeff Phenix is a co-teacher on triyoga‘s teacher training course. He has been practising yoga and meditation for 13 years with a wide range of influences on his unique teaching style including the Anusara, Vinyasa Flow, Iyengar, Viniyoga, Jivamukti and Satyananda schools.

More About Tachyon.

According to quantum physics, the material universe is nothing more than a very dense form of energy. Everything that exists in this universe, from the most subtle, refined realms of energetic structures, to the grossest, densest realms of matter, is aligned in an energy continuum.

Energy flows constantly from these highly refined subtle realms-starting from the causal or super causal world as it is referred to in Yoga teachings and moving down through the astral, etheric, electromagnetic levels and finally into the material realm of existence.

Everything that exists on Earth exists within its own Energetic Continuum, our bodies being a perfect example. In addition to the material, physical body that we perceive with our senses, we have several other layers of energetic bodies. Through all these layers of energy, an Energetic Continuum flows from the highest, most refined subtle bodies down to the material body.

The energy flowing through the Energetic Continuum comes from one source. In India , it is called the Divine Mother. Christianity calls it the Holy Spirit, and in many modern, New Age spiritual teachings it is called Cosmic Energy. Modern physics calls it Zero-Point Energy.

At this point, it is important to understand that Zero-Point Energy should not be confused with a particular form of energy, such as etheric or astral energy. Zero-Point Energy is formless. It is the source of everything. All realms of the subtle energies are just parts of the Energetic Continuum.

Tachyon Energy is the very first energetic structure that emerges out of non-structured, formless Zero-Point Energy. Just like Zero-Point Energy, Tachyon is not limited to a certain frequency. Tachyon cannot be measured in the hertzian frequency spectrum.

It is not a certain type of energy. Rather, it includes all energy potential within itself. Its qualities are much like Zero-Point Energy, varying only in that it is a structured form.

In itself, Tachyon Energy has stored all the potential needed to create a perfect Energetic Continuum in every individualized form we know. Everything that transpires in the human body, for example, is already encoded within Tachyon Energy in perfect form.

“Jeff’s yoga classes are the best in town – he combines knowledge, having studied extensively with the world’s best Indian and American teachers, with sensitivity and grace, and a real understanding of how to move minds and bodies into stillness. As one of the world’s worst meditators I can honestly say that I have got closer to that point of profound silence in Jeff’s classes than I have with the many yoga teachers of India with whom I have studied. He is the genuine article – a gifted teacher deeply commitmed to the ancient yoga teachings. He wants to infect everyone with his enthusiasm, but he is very cool and never stuffs it down your throat. I have dropped out of many yoga classes in my time but I cant imagine ever doing so with Jeff. He rocks.”

Without yoga, I really think life would be harder. It keeps me sane mainly because of its stress relieving properties – I always leave your classes with a feeling of peaceful positive calm. I get a great sense of accomplishment every week. I can definitely feel the improvement after if I’ve had a break from yoga. I used to get back ache and they have disappeared since taking up yoga.

Your classes are friendly and you don’t take yourself or the practice too seriously (by that I mean you take it seriously, but you’re not serious). A great class, one that I’ve enjoyed attending weekly for over 2 years.”

“After a lifetime of abusing my body, fencing and skiing, I have had a number of operations and was suffering a major loss of range in my knees which was restricting my daily mobility as well as my sporting practice. Fortunately my work was offering in house yoga run by Jeff. He has been an inspirational teacher who has sympathetically assisted me in achieving full mobility. Moreover I feel so much better.
“I really love Jeff’s Saturday morning class at Triyoga. Leading up through a flowing sequence of postures he inspires us to discover stillness through action, calmness through challenge and openess through surrender. A compassionate & inspiring teacher. Well worth getting up early for !”
